Checking the hall of fame, I see you did donate twice @ $5.00, but i do not think the way the donation system at the moment recognizes cumulative donations and is able to recognize that the two donations have been made by the same person. That would be my thought at the moment, and you will have to wait for Hot Trout to give you a definite answer.

Crusty is correct. The system only upgrades an account if it sees a donation of $10 or more. Please see the FAQ's for more details.

I do not blame you for requiring a trivial amount to help keep the site running. I do have a question though. I made a donation 2 days ago and though I have the receipt, I have checked the hall and I do not see my name. I didn't donate to see my name, but rather, I wanted to be able to play some old N64 games and besides, I like the site so I don't mind giving to a good cause. If someone could look into this and see if my donation went through I would appreciate it. I can email proof of receipt if needed. I just want to make sure my money isn't going to a hole in the wall.

Anyhow, if something happens to you, what if any is the back-up plan? I know that's an odd question, but it seems a lot of time and effort has went into this idea.

Anyhow, I am looking forward to a reply on my matter, as I am in afghanistan and I am looking for something to do in my spare time. Thanks!

Being only a registered member, your download speed will vary depending on how busy the server is. Please read the FAQ's

im an unlimited user, and i have been monitoring my d/l speeds here over the past few days, i havent hit over 10KBs, your telling me the servers are that busy all the time?

if so, what the hell did i pay for? i thought the point of being unlimited was to get the faster speeds, seems shoddy to me!

Hello Evertonian7uk, thanks for your message.

I don't experience slow(er) download speeds than normal these days. Mind that serveral factors are of influence on your download speed:
* Connection to your ISP
* Other busy Internet activity at home
* Possible wireless or powerconnection at home
* Location of the server you are downloading from.

I get an average of 100-300kb/s and I live in Holland with a: 20mbit down/8mbit up.

Please check if the above points are interfering with your connection and otherwise I hope someone else can give you more advice .
