How do I batch download roms?

You cant download all the roms because the entire database is over 2TB and that would just be impossible. For each section there are some Mega Download Rom Packs that will allow you to download all the roms for a specific system. To be able to do that you must be an unlimited member and to become unlimited you must donate. You can find everything you need to know if you just follow the forums of FAQ.

i just want mame 0.144 roms, no chds.

I recently updated my mame and many roms hava changed, it doesnt work now. I dont remeber what version I used to have.

I tried the romcenter but it just renames the romsets and deletes the ones that dont work anymore.

So I decided to DL a full fresh working rom package.

The problem with torrents though is that they're not secure, and after one member attained it they could easily post said torrent to The Pirate Bay or Demonoid or elsewhere, thus defeating the purpose of having such a thing available to only Premium Members.

And even if you were to receive a torrent from HT, he would still have to seed 28 GB to someone so they could start seeding the torrent so that he could stop seeding it so that it wouldn't consume the server's bandwidth... same as having him give you a direct download to it... either way the bandwidth would be consumed, and there is a maximum amount the server is allowed to use each month. That's just unfortunately how things are... We can't devote large portions of bandwidth like that to individual members simply because all of the content on this site also takes bandwidth to upload to the server, so HT had to consume 28 GB of the server's monthly allotment just to get these MAME roms available to the public. We get over 40 million downloads per week (site-wide), and that's not an exaggeration.

My suggestion is to just take the time and manually go through and download each one if you want them that badly, because let's face it, you're never going to play all of the MAME roms before the next version of MAME is dropped and you're chasing after those roms. I mean shit, I still haven't played all of the games from mine (478 games in total) and it's from 1998... I've had it around 10 years and I still haven't played all of them...
