Please help me find this old computer game ! :(

So.. in 2000 I used to play this very catchy computer game at my friends place. I can't even remember the name of the game but I hope someone here can help me.

The point of the game was to cut the area where dots(enemies) were moving around. there are some things in the area and by cutting these you receive speed, ability to fire, the enemy pauses for a while etc. If you touch the dots, you're dead. I'm Not quite sure but I think there was also a snake moving around in addition to the dots.

Each level was different. Firstly the color of the background changed in every level and of course the positioning of the bonus things changed (in the corners etc in the first level). Not sure if there was anything else.

If it helps then I am quite sure I played the game in Linux.
Here is a link of what the first level looked like (the background and the positioning of the extras I think should be correct.) I didn't put the enemies there because I couldn't exactly remember what they looked like.

I have tried to find this game for ages now! All tips are welcome.
PS. I know there are several simpler and newer similar games out there but none of them, for me, matches the awesomeness of this game

Dang I have no clue maybe ht with his infinite knowledge can help. How did you find that picture? That's a starting point for this investigation. Watson get me my glasses I'm searching google. :p

*Edit*: If it helps i have concluded that the site the photo is from is Estonian in language.

Can you give us any more to go on. I have been searching but can find anything. There was an original game called Stix back in the 80's. The idea of Stix was to slice up the screen in straight lines trying to reduce the screen size to a required % to win. While you were doing this the 'Stix' hence the name would wiz about and if they touched you you were dead.

This game sounds like a version of Stix (there have been many over the years) but it must be freeware or shareware because I dont recgonise it.
