Problem starting game on Android TV

So close, yet so far away...

I have installed Mame4Droid on my Sony Android TV. Installed nicely.
I put roms in the correct folder.
I connected my Dualshock 4 controllers (from my kids SP4).
I start the emulator, and it list the roms.

But when I then press a button on the controller (I tried all buttons and combinations), either nothing happens or a popup show three options: Help, settings and Netplay. In settings I have tried to change all input buttons, without any luck.

Any suggestions?

I would love to help but I can't replicate your setup to test. Sounds like the controller is just not recognised properly. Sorry I could not help more.
