How to get function keys to work?

Hi, first of all I want to say thanks for a wonderful website.

I have recently downloaded vice for my mac, but I am having trouble getting the function keys to work. I have searched this forum and elsewhere on the net but I have had no luck.

It would be good to know because some games require me to press F1 to play.

i have never used vice for Mac. but if it is similar to WinVice, this may help. [Note: All screenshots are of WinVice (x64.exe) running on Windows 7.]

First, go to the "Settings" menu and selet the "Keyboard settings" option.
Next, select the "Positional" key settings.

The text box next to the checkbox should read something like, "mac.pos.vkm" or somthing close to that.

Thanks Dragon, I tried it on xvic but did not work unfortuneatly.

Loaded Blitz and it says press 'F1' to play but i can't

Hey i just worked it out by luck.

Go to System Preferences
Select Keyboard
Select Keyboard again
Tick Use all F1, F2, etc

It works fine now
