So this is totally a BUMP.

I can throw together a Genesis Mega-Pack as I already have every Genesis/32X/Game Gear game for each console. I would also really like to have a GBA mega-pack. I'll start looking around to build one of those too. I can at least get them ready for upload or something. What do you think HT?

Good idea but it is just the size of the pack that prevented me. Maybe a select pack would work.

HT - well done putting together such a great site. If you want to deliver whole directory archives without storing them separately on disk, you can always construct them on the fly. For example, ArchiveStream-php will generate TARs or ZIPs for you on demand and shouldn't create too much server-side overhead.

Instead of making mega packs, just create a file with all the links to each game. Let people use JDownloader to download them all that way. It saves you space, and that way you can do all of them. The downloaders also get resume features this way.

This is an awesome idea, but unfortunately if we enabled downloading with a downloader like that everyone would go back to doing that all the time as we've previously had to disable them as they were causing bandwidth issues for everyone else. Just a few people all downloading in that style all at the same time cause massive speed drops for everyone else and we're trying to prevent that. Hopefully with the new server in the future we'll be adding many new mega-packs for everyone to enjoy, but for now we're doing the best we can.
