The servers at theoldcomputer.com as they stand have almost reached their storage limit. There are many who have donated to become unlimited members, and also those who have donated just to support the site, and that is greatly appreciated.

The money donated is used to help offset the operation of the site. Looking at the size of the database offered, this must be a hefty sum monthly.

There is much more to add to the database and to do this the server storage must be upgraded. Hot Trout has stated that he has better than 60GB of data waiting in the wings to upload, but is on hold until he finds the means to get the funds to do so.

I never thought of this but it might just work. The problem will be that we only have a handful of regular members and we cant raise that much really.

post it on the main site , with the roms, emulators every section, make a piggy bank showing amount needed, and a graph thing inside piggy bank, showing progress. Other sites do it and who knows santa may come through with enough? :idea:
