Yesterday, New Years Day, 2012, I had a visit from my daughter Carol. Bearing great presents to her dear old Pop, (me).
To quote her< " I do not understand your fascination with this junk you collect, especially at your age. But, being Christmas and New Years, I brought some STUFF to throw on your junk pile."
Small drum roll here.
The junk she brought was a Vectrex Arcade System, unfortunately no games or screen overlays, but extremely nice.
An IntellivisionII, 4 controllers, 11 games, boxed, with overlays, manual, power supply and RF adapter.
Not a game console, but part of the junk she gave, TRS-80 Micro Color Computer, boxed, Ram Expansion, power supply , RF adapter, book--Getting Started With Color Basic, 4 cassettes with a variety of programs, And, the warranty, instruction sheet for the Ram expansion module - ( wonder if it is still valid ).
Being, never the one, to look a gift horse in the face, I had no alternative , but to accept this junk as late Christmas gifts.
I think I am slowly winning the battle with My kids or at least wearing them down to accepting my idiosyncrasies. Whatever their thinking may be, Thank you Carol, Kevin, Josh and Sissy.
