Naw, micro center is.

Code: Select all

(There's a detroit location which is technically in madison heights which is why I haven't been to it to pick up a MiniSD card yet... they WILL have them)

++ Micro Center is cheaper than newegg. At least it has been for me thus far. Newegg is my next choice after Micro Center thought...

Sigh, it looks like I had bad timing with my Dingoo A320 purchase, because the Dingoo A330 has just been revealed. It goes on sale mid May.

Here's what's known about it so far:

- Better LCD Screen

- 64MB of RAM, with a 128MB model coming later (the A320 had 32MB)

- ColecoVision, NeoGeo Pocket, WonderSwan, SMS/GG, Atari Lynx native emulators.

- It will also work with current A320 Native and Community Based APPS/GAMES/Emulators.

- And it looks like it has decent shoulder buttons too!

No, for it to be better it has to actually exist and be in good working shape, which isn't the case for the Pandora. And the price is :x .

And the Wiz might be better on paper, but not where it counts apparently (or so many people say... people who own both seem to usually favor the Dingoo A320 for most things, it seems... AND it's half the price).

The Dingoo A320 and A330 are the kings for now. So much functionality for so little monies. :)

Also, broken China-english is hilarious.

I got the A330 today. I am a little disappointed.

Even the slightest pressure on the left side of the console sent big ugly pressure waves running across the LCD screen. I had to open it up and rearrange some stuff to stop it.

The A/B/Y/X buttons feel AWFUL. This is the main problem here. This is a pretty big problem considering what the machine was built for. They are some combination of mushy, crunchy, snaggy horror. I'm told that they will break-in and be easier to use over time. We'll see. The D-pad is okay, but isn't quite as nice and springy as the one on my A320.

On the bright side the shoulders are a lot easier to use, and the LCD does look better than the A320's. It's clearer and more vibrant.

Oh, and it seems the first Pandora's are out. Alas, those are too pricey for me.

I've been playing with my A330. The buttons have gotten a little better after I opened it up and snapped off the tabs and broke them in some more. The LCD and the shoulder buttons are indeed a bit better. But I don't think it's worth what they are charging. It's pretty much just an A320, but way more expensive. I wish they would lower it by about $20 or $30.

Meh, I'll probably be getting a GPH Caanoo next:
