CDTV looks like a early 1980s CD player with some dark distinctive features. I was a shame those early CD-ROM games for those CBM-Amiga computers didn't had those LaserDisc games like Dragon's Lair, Road Avenger and more but it was published for the Sega-CD since then. Amiga Dragon's Lair for the common A-500 was a bit dodgy changing discs when moving to various scenes not to forget having 7/8 discs for that game and poor sound quality. The CDTV version of Xenon 2 wasn't as good as the original with the new SFX and having the orange monster Colin in the main menu.

Just another example of Amiga blowing millions on development to a target market that did not exist. I personally love Amiga and it is a shame that the company did not dominate home PC's. Like I have said many times before, when the best PC you could buy had 16 colours and mono beeps and the best MAC you could buy was Monochrome the Amiga 1000 had 4096 colours, stereo sound, dedicated graphics and sound chips and the best OS around. How did they f**k it up

It is no longer missing, that post was before my purchase. I now have a CDTV to almost complete the collection.

Yes i spent many hours playing Carrier Command and Starglider 2,early models might of had some issues but some games did not work on A12OO if i remember correctly.

The Amiga 500 and 500+ was, as I remember, THE computer to have back in the mid to late 1980's. In fact, it was THE computer that inspired me to follow my creative path and take my graphic design skills into a digital dimension... eventually culminating in a PC-based revival of my early Amiga artistic days and subsequently an advanced diploma in digital arts (Mac-based). Man, I would give my left nut to step into a time machine just to recover those hundreds of paintings, image edits and music-tracks that I had done on various different friend's Amiga computers as well as my cousin's Amiga 1000. Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of owning an Amiga of my very own (nor even a Commodore 64 for that matter)... though I can happily say that the Amiga 500 and 500+ played a HUGE role in my life... both artistically and creatively.

Oh... and I did manage to spend a year or two as a hardcore Amiga 500 gamer, so I have a pretty solid appreciation for the incredible selection of games available! A cousin of mine even cut his teeth on some of the first and best Amiga 500/1000 flight simulators, so much so that he is now a commercially registered pilot for Jetstar (Australia), having previously flown for Ansett Australia and QANTAS over the past 15 years! He actually attributes his Amiga 1000 flight simulators as being his inspiration to take his very first private flying instruction!

I have to say that the Amiga 500/500+ and 1000 has played a HUGE role in my life and it seems such a shame that the system never evolved beyond the Microsoft/Apple domination during the early 1990's.
