Old Main Frame

Postby GeoGuy » Fri Mar 18, 2011 2:30 pm

Does anyone know what to do with an old mainframe type computer? I was hoping a collector might want it for free in lieu of it going to the landfill. I will try Best Buy first though. It is located in Minot, ND. I have a photo if anyone is interested.

It would not hurt to post your picture here, who knows , an interest could be shown. I for one would like to see it , even if only for curiosity sake! Thanks

Is there a more of a reason you cant post the pic? Let us know if its the forum your having trouble with or maybe your computer or internet. Ha, kinda in the dark on how to help

OK I was able to attach a picture but not post it in a message.

Anyone interested can reach me @ environmental@ferrellgas.com. Like I said, I would rather give this to anyone that appreciates it rather than take it to Best Buy or a landfill. I just don't know if its of any interest to anyone.

OMG, some of you guys in the US need to hire a van and go get that. It looks to be in superb condition.

Crusty, I feel a road trip coming on :freakout:

I wish I could go get it, but am wondering what the expense would be if crated and shipped to Canada? I would maybe be able to work something that way? Man, my eyes are popping, my heart is racing and had to take a shot of nitro to calm it, and for the first time in a loooong time, ***** never mind****, that is personal.

Woa! If I had the room I would love to have that >.<

Post some ads on Craigslist, I would hate to see something like that end up in the dump.
PS, I used to work at a tech as Circuit City, we would have not been able to take that in(Despite me wanting to!). I believe that Best Buy would feel the same..

PS, what kind of a mainframe is it? Know of any of the specs, years, or manufactures?
