PS1 burn to hard-modded system?

Postby plr » Fri Mar 11, 2011 8:28 pm

First off thanks for any response. My question is how to burn isos (or whatever format) to an old modded PS1. Obviously we're talking original PS1 games--or PSX, if that makes a difference--but if you know how to convert 8, 16, or other 32-bit games to play on it I'd be glad for the help. Thanks again. --Plr.
---For anybody else out there having similar trouble: make sure your burner doesn't override your speed setting.

If you are using the stealth chip, just burn slow (1x) on a reliable media and you should be good to go!

Reliable media means not some store brand disk, rather Sony, Verbatim, Hp, and a few more.
Avoid Imation(spelled correctly) and LG disks, they tend to have a high failure rate.

The reason you want to use a reliable media verses a cheap brand is simple, lower failure rates while burning and less of a risk of your disk not working mid game. However if you do not have a higher tier brand available, other brands will work, just have a higher chance of failing.

Enjoy!

@TheGarrison89 Good point. The same thing was said about the wii for the people that could actually play burned games on their system (not me >.<)

Burning on a lower speed (1X) allows for less chance of errors
