MAME v0.31.1.0 w/ 400 games...

Oh, and before anyone goes asking around, I've already told HT about this discovery, and he said "No" because he wants the current stuff. No blaming the guy there!

I happen to have found an old, OLD copy of MAME v.0.31.1.0 in my archived piles of CD Roms laying around. It also has 400 machines on it as well. If anyone wants these, let me know. The WHOLE BUNDLE unzipped is around 60 MB. That's not too bad really. :3

You're gonna need WinRAR or similar archiving program that is capable of handling .rar files. Link to WinRAR 3.93: WinRAR 3.93

Here's how you do this:

Take the SET 1 archive and extract it. Now, take the SET 2 archive and extract it to, but as soon as it's done extracting, move the contents to WHERE YOU EXTRACTED SET 1. Now extract SET 3, and also make sure you put these other .rar files into THE SAME EXACT PLACE YOU EXTRACTED SETS 1 AND 2, otherwise this WILL NOT WORK. You should see a bunch of archives (.rar files) in this location, and the end of them all saying something about part01 or part22, etc. THERE ARE 41 PARTS ALL IN ALL. MAKE SURE ALL 41 PARTS ARE IN THE SAME PLACE. Now, highlight ALL OF THEM and then right click on PART 01 and pick the option EXTRACT FILES... (provided you're using WinRAR). Just click OK on the bottom, and viola, you've now finished putting the pieces together. Put the extracted folder wherever you want. Make sure to create a shortcut on your desktop by right clicking the MAME32 icon and picking send to, then click create shortcut on desktop. Now you should be able to just play it like normal.

You know HT, you don't have to do this if you don't want to. I was literally just finishing the upload of it to my skydrive. Complex when you have to make it a split volume archive because the skydrive which allows me to have 25 GB of storage doesn't allow more than 50 MB per file, and a single archive is 56.7 MB... >.> Anyway, editing original post to have the link to where it's stored and instructions on how to extract it to work. I'm sure you already know this though HT. :3

I dunno, worked fine for me. Played around 20 different games off of it and had no problems. I wonder why it's doing that to you...

press tab while in-game. There are more settings to change in there. :3
