neo geo BIOS

Postby kmfcm » Wed Jun 15, 2016 5:31 am

okay, so MAMEUI 174 is the first one I've downloaded since 161

It seems like every couple versions, they change how the neo geo BIOS work.

What do I have to do this time?

I'm not aware of how to fix this as I haven't done MAME emulation since 1998 (lol) but hopefully someone can answer this for you soon. :hi:

Just make sure you have clrmamepro keep a fully updated romset (neogeo.zip) and turn off bios selection in the general options if you do not wish to to choose which version of bios before the game loads...if you wish to stick to your romset version of v0.161, I recommend just sticking to MAME v0.161 to play your set. I also highly recommend compiling your own and also using a frontend called Attract-Mode :D

okay, where are the "general options"

and will this stop it form only showing the bios I've downloaded instead of the games??

that's all I see now.

I think I may really have to stick with 161.

(I upgraded to WIndows 10, btw. . . . )

I downloaded a bios pack, and everything shows up but the ones I need (neogeo)

and none of the games I have in the folder show up either (granted, I only have two right now).

okay, what I realized is the pack of BIOS I downloaded is not what's showing up in the game list. All that stuff is there even if I delete everything in my roms folder.

you need to refresh the game list every time you add or remove roms by F5 and also check if you got the right filters on. I also recommend you use MAMEUIFX over MAMEUI as it is way better.
