Hi All,

Google led me here whilst I was looking for a good resource for my raspberry and I've got to say it is the most welcoming site for an old fart like me So much so that I registered straight away..
Been tinkering with computers and consoles since I got my first pong game way back when and no matter how good the graphics get on my xbox, I always find my way back to classic gaming, nothing beats cannon fodder on the Amiga or Sonic on the megadrive!

I DO ACTUALLY HAVE MANY OF THESE OLD MACHINES AND WOULD BE WILLING TO PROVIDE BIOS ES OR BOOT DISKS OR ACTUAL M27C512 ROMS IF SOMEONE NEEDS ONE.

ULTIMATELY I 'D LIKE TO WEED THE COLLECTION DOWN TO JUST THE SAMSUNG 286 WITH THE TRACK STAR CARD AND GOTEC FLOPPY EMULATOR FOR APPLE ][ AND THE NEC ULTRALITE
FOR MS DOS . OF COURSE THIS THIS ISN'T AN AD, BUT I'M GETTING A LITTLE OLD AND BLIND TO DO THIS . BUT IT WAS FUN TO REBUILD THESE 40 -65 OLD MACHINES MANY TIMES OUT
OF THREE BROKEN ONES. IPROBABLY MORE FUN THAN THE CAR SHOW HOT ROD SHOP I WORK AT. GETS MY MIND OFF OF 40 YEARS OF THAT.

Just saying hello. I like the site, and I've been lurking around it for a while now. I have finally taken the plunge and signed up.

A quick word about me... I play games. I play games a LOT. I have studied game theory because I LOVE games. I have also studied programming, and systems analysis... because I WANT TO MAKE MY OWN GAMES!!

I want to make my own games because of all the great games I played growing up in the 80s and 90s. This site allows me to continue to enjoy some of my childhood favorites. And for that I can never thank you enough!

What a great website!! I am so glad I found it. I am 52 yrs old. I grew up during the c64, Apple I I, IBM world. A world where I got excited when we jumped to 256k of memory and speeds reaching , ha know I don't remember exactly but I remember they were SLOW. LOL. I REMEMBER GETTING A MODEM FOR MY APPLE I that was 1200 baud. Woo hoo

Anyways glad to meet everyone. I hope to make some friendships and maybe heated debate here or there.

Hi all,

I just want to say what a fantastic site this is. I actuallly first discovered this site about 5 years ago but then became busy with other things. Now i'm back and loving it!

I used to play the Atari 2600, VIC 20, then the Commodore 64. I'm so pleased that I am able to play Rockman again on the VIC 20 as that is my best one. I used to play it all the time with an older brother so I'm looking forward to showing this site to him.

The other thing I love is being able to wait for the games to load. Listening to Rob Hubbard's 'Sanxion' theme on the C64 brings shivers down my spine. He was the Don of computer music back then.
