Powertran Cortex computer

Postby Dragon Mech » Thu May 08, 2014 11:45 am

yesterday i was going through some files that i had saved from one of the Linux OSes that crusty had on one of the HDDs of my new computer when he sent it to me. i saved the files before i reinstalled the OS to gain administrative access while using the os. anyways, while i was looking through the saved files, i came across and emulator called "WinCortex". the emulator came with the needed ROM image to run the emulator and lucky for me, crusty had downloaded a few disk images for use with the emulator. here is a screenshot of the emulator.

after messing with the emulator (and getting nowhere fast), i decided to do some researh on the real computer. the readme file that came with the emulator gave me a few clues, but nothing important like the full name of the real computer or the manufacturer . but it gave the name of the cpu, which lead me here

and after reading the article ( and getting a headache from trying to understand all of the technical stuff), i found this link:

this website has tons of info on the Powertran cortex. it even has the above metioned emulator and disk images, free to downlod along with lots of downloadable documents in PDF format. the site has the same goal as TOC does but only focused on the Powertran Cortex.

HT, i think you should contact the owner of the site. i'm thinking you two may beable to work out something as far as getting the emulator and other content in to our collection.
