Adding To ROM List

Postby kaizen85 » Fri Apr 25, 2014 9:40 pm

Don't know if this is the right forum board to ask this, but is there somewhere I can add ROMs to the already extensive list? And I have a question, why isn't there any Nintendo DS ROMs?

You would have to msg Hot Trout about adding roms to our database...

if you want to add data to the database you need to talk with HT.

there are no DS roms for a number of different reasons, mainly they are not considered retro yet,and they still make games for the console.

another reason is hdd space,i'm downloading (some of)the ds set and if you want "all" of it you need to clear more then 300GB,not a small set by any means, you need a lot of bandwidth and hdd space for such a beast.

and they still make games for the consoles so the size will grow even more.

The main reason is because they are still being sold and therefore are not considered retro yet. The fact that the DS is a very long running console (credit to Nintendo for such a great system) means that it will be some time before we do. We also have fully sets of GameCube, PS2, XBox and the like all waiting in the wings. I think that by the end of 2014 we should have our entirely new site up and running at which point we will invest in a new larger server and then the GameCube sets will follow.
