iCADE: Possible To Mod It With 1- and 2-Player buttons?

Postby Rotgut » Mon Jan 20, 2014 4:39 pm

Since my iPad is jailbroken and I have MAME4iOS running (thanks to some help I received in these forums), I ordered an iCADE. Expecting it soon, can't wait. I also purchased a replacement stick (Sanwa) and buttons (Ultimarc.)

I plan to swap out the controls for sure, but before I do that I got to thinking: Is it possible to also add 1- and 2-Player buttons as well as a "Coin/Credit" button? I realize you cannot play co-op or combat games simultaneously, I just want to be able to select "2-Players" so two people can take turns in games like Pac-Man, etc.

I've seen a lot of modded iCADEs online but I have yet to see one with 1- and 2-Player buttons. Is it possible and if so has anyone done it? Thanks in advance.

Maybe I just asked a stupid question. I have no idea. Love the site though.

It's not a stupid question at all but I just don't know the answer, so I am the stupid one. Hopefully some of the other guys will have had some experience.

It some times takes a bit for someone to answer a question, depending on their knowledge. I definitely can not help as I have zip knowledge of Apple products. I am sure if someone sees this and has the knowledge they will answer.

No question is a stupid question. A question asked may not have an answer, but may get an-others grey matter going to do something to make the question a reality.

Thank you for all the replies. Hope someone out there might be knowledgable with this. iCade arrived at the house last night and I have the replacement buttons and stick so I hope someone might know if I can (or even should) add the 1- and 2-Player buttons...
