site speed

hey guys

I'm using the latest version of fire fox,getting 25Kbps on average,the rest of the week the speeds were ok.

what gives..?

*update: tried a different browser (i.e) got almost the same speed (35Kbps),tried a download from a web site speed was ok,seems something related to the site and not the browser or isp.

Interesting, I had really seen site speed increases after all adverts were removed but downloading speed I have not checked in ages. I will look into this again.

i even checked @speedtest.net and all is fine,something with site is off it seems.

I can confirm same issue, took me several hours to download some all in one mega packs yesterday, nothing huge, ~700mb. Should only take a little while

I can also confirm this with my uploads over the weekend, my transfer speeds were very poor. I have logged this with the ISP and am awaiting an answer. Something is not right and I will get to the bottom of it, hold tight guys.

Update : The ISP discovered that during some maintenance last week they had set the duplex from full to half, thus making us go into slowmo mode. They have now put the duplex back to full and we are now back to the land of the living.

Stupid but there you have it. Thanks everyone for bringing my attention to it.

confirmed that speeds are better,now the speed is around 159-180Kbps.

not the full speed i used to get but a lot better then 30Kbps just a few days ago.
