Very few ROMs work for me (Mame4all/Android)

Hi.

Only about 20% of the 0.37b5 ROMs I download, be it from this site or somewhere else, work. ROMs either don't show up at all in MAME, or exit as soon as I launch them, with an error message that flashes by so fast I can't read it, it seems to be about missing ROMs.

I'm using Mame4All 0.37b5 from the PlayStore (

.), which clearly states it needs 0.37b5 ROMs. Its "reloaded" big brother won't launch at all on my Android 4.1 RK3066 Android stick (Dual core A9, 1 GB RAM, Mali-400 Minix Neo G4, latest firmware).

A few ROMs do run (pacman, Arkanoid, Commando, Raiden...), but most don't. I'm especially looking for the 1942-1943-19xx series.

Am I doing something wrong ?

If you are working with Android 4.1 you should be using MAME4DROID RELOADED, along with the 0.139 roms.

This version is supposed to specifically work best on tabs and Android 4.0+. I am currently using this on my Google Nexus 7. I'm not saying that it is perfect ....as I am still having trouble with the CHDs.....however I do have the games you have mentioned having trouble with, all working perfectly on it right now. Yes it may be slightly tedious and annoying to have to redownload everything...... but once you do you'll be glad you did.

I am not familiar with the device you are running it on, but on the PC version of MAME, you can right-click a rom in the GUI and press 'audit' for it to give you a display of all the roms/chds it depends on (and which of those it recognizes you as having, or which you have that is an incorrect version/size).

Thanks for the answers. Last time I tried the Reloaded version forceclosed at launch, I'll try again when I get back home.
