Roms organization

Postby GozmitJosh » Thu May 23, 2013 3:44 pm

Hi all :freakout:

One thing i have done recently is download all the US sets of roms for the major systems for myself to play. Mostly Atari 2500->7800, Sega game gear, master system, genesis/32X, maybe even saturn/Sega CD. And also NES, SNES, N64, and hopefully PS1 roms.

One thing i have noticed in a lot of the rom sites there is no easy full US rom set, they list all the roms in one list from ones in different languages to hacks, prototypes, various rom dumps of the same rom...etc

Would it ber possible to create a directory that lists all released roms catered to that region? Mainly US as that is what im looking for but other "groups" may work too :)

I know NES and SNES roms are set up this way.

EDIT: Or even a way to sort by region.

It would take a lot of work at present to sort them like this. In the future I might rework the database and allow filtering by a number of different ways including by country.

if you already have downloaded all the roms, you could run it through the NoIntro DATs and let it sort you out a collection of the best-working roms, which can be filtered by region also. as far as TO DOWNLOAD for a large amount of roms at once, you would be better suited to use a torrent, and then grab any single roms that it may be missing, from this site. no intro info may be found at:
