iMAME Problem ....

I have "MAME4All" for iPad & it works wonderfully!

There's just one teeny, tiny thing ....
I have tried using both the iMAME & 0.37b5 versions of the arcade ROMs "Popeye" & "Space Invaders" but ALL FOUR ROMs don't work!!

Does anyone know where I can get W-O-R-K-I-N-G iMAME ROMs
of both "Popeye" & "Space Invaders"?

I will forever be in your debt! lol

You are hopefully in luck as I have just this week added a very rare MAME rom set this week.. MAME 0.106 set works with a lot of handheld emulators. Try them and see how you go.

Quick question: In your sig, you give a link to play SNES roms on an iPad.
My heart almost jumped out of my chest when I saw that,
as DOSBox, iMAME & SNES9x are the only emulators I use & I already have the first 2 on iPad.
My question: The SNES9x emulator you link to -- is that for jailbroken iPads only?
I ask because I bought both DOSBox & iMAME in the App Store & I don't wanna jailbreak my iPad.

Well, I tried out both ROMs.

While "Space Invaders" works, the game I'm most interested in "Popeye", doesn't.
What else is new ....

I'll bookmark this page in case anyone else can come up with a WORKING "Popeye" iMAME/MAME4All ROM.

Did you try downloading popeye from the many other mame sets we have. Might be worth trying that.

Well, I chose not one, not two, not even three different MAME versions of
the arcade ROM "Popeye", but, in point of fact, I chose a whopping FIVE of them.

Yes, that's right -- NONE of them worked.
Three of them didn't even bother showing up on the iMAME menu.
And before anyone asks: yes, I went to MENU>OPTIONS>RESCAN ALL ROMs>OK
after load/deletion, even, of each of the nine different ROM versions.

What can I say?
Nine different ones in all & not a one worked.
I guess it's my destiny in this UniVerse not to play "Popeye" on my iPad 2.
Oh, well ....

I just wanna thank you, Hot Trout, for your help and, most of all,
your patience in this very trying matter.
