Approving Posts

Hey I was wondering if its absolutely necessary to approve the posts that go in.
My point about it is that I have to approve the posts in my section before they posts and If im gone for 2 weeks or 2 days (doesnt matter), the posts isnt getting helped by anyone until I notice it and says its ok

I know the point is to block from spam but Ive subscribed to every topic so I know when anything is posted and I always check out everything new anyways to see if its something I can do.

If it doesnt really matter I think it would just be easier to take off the approving of topics so whoever posts can be helped right away.
(Sometimes I forget to check too. My bad =[ )
