Need help installing Oregon Trail

Hi, I'm a newbie to this site and pc emulators...and I need help!
I downloaded D-Box and Oregon Trail, and I'm at the point where I get the install screen and it says to press any key to continue...so I did and now it says "The installation program can only be run from a floppy disk. Please change to the drive containing Oregon Trail Disk 1. Type the letter of the drive, followed by a colon...and press Enter. Then type "Install" at the prompt."
So I tried typing "C:" but nothing happens. I followed the directions on this site: http://www.howtogeek.com/104725/how-to- ... -old-apps/

except for where it talks about -t cdrom.

I'm using Windows 7.
Any help would be much appreciated!

you shouldn't need to install it. if you have the "oregon.exe" file, you should be able to play it without installing it.
