If/When I have grandchildren, I can't wait for them to ask me "Grandpa, what is that game?" when I'm sitting there playing DOOM. Oh the falling out of my chair and grasping for air that I'm going to experience, coupled with a possible heart attack or stroke... or both... :freakout:

I love these two statements, they are the essence of trying to pass along how gaming was and where it has evolved, and there is nothing like seeing a child sit in front of an old Pong or Telstar system and actually getting excited and enjoying themselves, especially if they are really adept at the modern systems. :goodpost: :thankyou:

Well spoken, both of you.

And I totally agree; seeing my young neffew playing on the NES after spending hours at home behind his Ps3 and the NES bringing a bigger smile to his face than the Ps3 games.. it's just like you've done your job as retro-gamer :ugeek: :good:

I always officially sucked at DOOM, so a combination of heart attacks & strokes (accompanied by sudden intense eruptions of blood pressure & temporary attacks of verbal Tourrettes) is pretty much the norm if I ever play it, even at my youthful age....

Well, I just posted in the old guest book :D That'll learn ya for putting its link first :P

I just joined today, had a browse and made my donation.

So far I really like what I see and am keen to get into more emulation soon.
My favorite will always be the apple IIe and the great game, Rails West! I don't think I will ever get sick of it.

Thank you very much for this site and I wish you many years of success. :thankyou:

Hello all, I'm exo, an administrator on the video game collecting database known as vgcollect (not soliciting, just saying). I really like the amount of detail when it comes to scans, rom, and et cetera here. Keep up the great work, Trout! This community seems great.
