How is this a game?

This is BEYOND pointless. The only possible purpose it could serve is to increase your post count for whatever reason, and only with meaningless counting? WTF!

And even if there was a requirement to make some sort of reference or comment with the number ("1 is the loneliest", "just the 2 of us", "3 is a magic number", etc) pretty soon you aren't going to be able to make any more clever references, and it'll just degrade to where each post is just the next number and a random comment (actually, it's already to that point).

I would like very much to delete this thread. In my book, this is just spam. If you guys decide to keep it, fine. Sorry for being a buzz kill. Just wanted to speak my mind.

Yeah, all those pages are full of nothingness. It's just people spamming or making posts that are more appropriate for other topics, only there's a sequence of numbers involved. It's dumb. And since we only have like 8 active people on this forum, it's exponentially more dumb. A few guys just counting after one another for no reason, bumping the topic up to the top of the board for NO REASON other than to say yet another number?

It's actually pretty fun if you need to make a reference to something for each number. Because then there's actually some sort of "game" to it. To see how high we can count by making MEANINGFUL references. Doesn't that sound like a lot more fun than what you are doing now? I think we should change the rules.

I urge everyone to take the high ground and don't just say a number, please (IF POSSIBLE. At least try). Otherwise I might just have to risk my moderator title and flush this thread. Because I am a "no nonsense" person and moderator, and this thread is the very definition of nonsense, if all we are doing is spamming a sequence of numbers. Let's try and make something fun out of it.

Jesse i agree and some of the other topics (ban game, word association, and last letter game) can all be seen to boost post count...

Although, most forums also have the ability to disable post count in certain sections. Maybe this new feature should be implemented and thus useless topics can continue and be of no concern really unless they truly become spam. Everyone needs a release and sometimes counting to 10 works.
