Extremely slow down loads

I just checked the logs for the past several days. Although the weekend was very busy (it always is) the server speeds seem very good today and there is no obvious reason why it should still be so slow for you.

One big question I have is, how many downloads are you using at the same time. Remember that multiple downloads from the same IP will be controlled by the ISP on purpose. This is to stop people 'scraping' or 'leeching' the website.

Try downloading just two roms at a time. Also if you are using a download manager then please stop as the servers will ban you automatically.

Just letting you know HT, the whole site is still EXCEEDINGLY slow for me. Registry cleaned and all. I keep this bad boy in check, so I know it's not my end... (especially since it's ONLY this website that goes really slow...)

I agree with you at the minute and I suspect that someone is leeching but I have been unable to locate them as of yet. I will keep looking.

I found two users in Japan that although had paid for a membership were no the less just constantly scraping the site down to their media PC's 25/7.

One had downloaded 625GB in 14 days and the other had downloaded over 1000GB since May 04th

Both are now blacklisted.

Yea, the site does seem to be running a bit quicker, but still not like it used to be... I'd suggest just a little more digging, just thinking...

It is so hard to locate the IP's causing the 24/7 downloads. The raw log file (txt format) for this site for one month is over 3GB

You heard me correctly, over 3000MB of txt file that needs to be filtered through to find the offending IP's. It takes my monster work PC 4 minutes to import the file into Excel.
