Descent 3, anyone up for a game

Postby Hot Trout » Mon Jul 05, 2010 6:54 pm

I just last week downloaded and started to play Descent 3 again. This was the best ever version and I am posting because for anyone that never experienced a FPS (kinda) in 6 axis it is fantastic. I had forgotton how much I enjoyed playing this. I was also wondering if any of you wanted it, if so I will upload it to the PC Abandonware section.

We could play a network game with my local LAN mates. Might be fun.

I've never played the Descent games (though I vaguely remember renting and playing Forsaken on the N64 a few times, which apparently is a Descent clone).

Looks cool. I'm all for you adding it to the abandonware section. I'm interested in trying it out.

Yea, I still have Forsaken for the PlayStation. :D The 64 one was better IMO. X3

I agree with Jesse here, add it. :D

Forsaken was a copy of Descent with better graphics. I played at as well on the PC and still have a boxed copy. Descent 3 has far better gameplay, in the late 90's I and my LAN mates used to play 8-10 player lan fests. The longest lasted 2 days, seriously I had eye problems after that.

I was speaking with my old mates about playing it again and them seem up for it. We could all play online in a mad lan game possibly.

I will upload it later tonight so that you guys can get cracking.

This vaguely reminds me of a PC game i used to play called Hellbender..... Im gonna have to do some searching cause I don't really remember much. Wikipedia made a reference to Descent though so there is some vague connection at least..
