At home, with wifi and I'm remotely connected atm 
Get downloadspeed of about 1.2mb/s when downloading from newsgroups.
But will upgrade this summer to fiber (straight home). That'll be a 50/50 or 100/100 connection.
So for newsgroup down and uploads at least 6 megabyte p/s.

Keep in mind i also have a ps3 using netflix and 2 wii's that are also using netflix right now on top of my phone using my wifi too. And 2 laptops, counting mine.
I say its pretty good speed
