Is it possible to convert a .bin file to a .nes file?

The .bin can be extracted and maybe this would work for you. Try extracting the .bin to a .nes. I have not needed to do this myself but in theory it should work.

*sigh* We're talking about a .bin file with no .nes equivalent that won't work in Nestopia. I already tried renaming the .zip and .bin to .nes. That didn't work.

ok. first off. i want to show every one what a Twin Famicom is:
Code: Select all
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twin_Famicom

next, the BIOS (.bin) file is used by what ever emulator that supports it, to function more like a twin famicon (probably for the FDS emulation), the same way a Sega Genesis emulator needs BIOS files to emulate a 32X or a SegaCD. this means that the .bin (BIOS) file can't be played like a game file (.nes, .fds etc).

Ok, I understand why emulators need (bios) files and the .bin extension. I have many emulators I'v had to track bios files for. What I do not understand is what is the end goal here? Are you trying to run the bios as a game? As you said most systems need the .bin to run games, you usually do not run the bios itself. Please clarify the end goal and I will try to help if I can.

Every time I try to use a .bin as a bios in Nestopia (Undead edition 1.44), an error message manifests saying "No valid file in archive!".

What I want is an adjustable experience.

EDIT: ...And a more hipster-ish one.
