Countdown pc rom error

i downloaded the pc rom Countdown but rom will not run in vista. i do not know what to try to make it run~

You will need to run it in XP Compatable mode.

Start by reading this Microsoft Article on how to use compatability mode. Then also take a look at this article on games in Vista. You may need to look at DosBox or the like.

Hope this helps yuou out a little.

dosbox worked great..requires alot of dos knowledge.. but it works!

new error.. half way tru rom.. i get a memory error and it kicks me from game..

If the PC games is running then the rom is good. It sounds more like a gold old PC game. Which game are you playin.

really just that one.. i tried dune II but dont have a maual for the lock on it ..mean streets seemed to run ok...

The difference is that the PC Roms are not actually Roms as such but archives of the games. You cant have a bad dump with the PC games, if they install then they are as their were originally. If you have errors/problems they were probably present in the game from the start.

2 problems.. countdown doesnt install.. and i have played past this part in it before..worked fine

Im not sure then what is wrong. It could be settings in DosBOX. Try working with that instead. If lost you could always ask Google.
