how do i use a .wav file on a apple 1 emulator?

yesterday i downloaded the file:Apple_I_BASIC_(19xx)(Apple)[load_at_E000[1][1].EFFF,_enter_at_E000].zip.
when i decompressed it i was supriesed to find a .wav file :o . when i played it in a media player,it sounded like a modem or a fax.so ....how in the heck do i use this blasted file!

nevermind. it looks like you need a degree in computer programing to use an apple 1.
i'm just gonna delete the emulator.

LOL, not quite a degree but it is fair to say that it is a little more difficult than your average NES emu.

Something like this:

C100R (hit enter)
E000.EFFFR (play tape)
E000R (hit "Enter")

i'll see what i can do. when it comes to retro computers, i can make MS-DOS sing!but i've never use an apple older than the mac 2.
