Daphne crc errors

I have checked all the Daphne rom images that I had and most of them have errors. I am not sure why this is the case but I have decided to remake all the images using winRAR. This will take a while and I will update everyone here when I have finished.

I know I know this is a third post in a row BUT its needs to be for continuity.

Here's the news;

ALL of the Daphne Rom Images have been recompressed in RAR format and uploaded again. There may be some images that span two or more parts so be sure to download all the parts of an image before trying to unpack it. They have all been tested for CRC errors as well.

Hi guys, I am still having trouble with crc errors on some of the daphne roms. I have downloaded cobra command, astron belt and cliff hanger but i get crc errors in all of them. Any help would be much appreciated.

repair winrar archive one of the best effective ways for working out given trouble. The utility uses copies of corrupted data and doesn't modify source of info. It uses contemporary methods of recovering rar data. Opening corrupted .rar archives form any location such as other PCs, hard drives.

I know this thread is a few years old, but since I was new to the forum and was attempting to work with the Daphne emulator I figured I would post within a thread that already started on the same topic I was about to start.

Anyway, I installed Daphne and downloaded everything I could of the frame files, roms, etc. I am in the process of downloading the Laser Disc files (MPEG's) and have started working on a couple of them. First one was Astron Belt. I too get the CRC error and have tried different things to try and get it to function, but it won't. Any suggestions on that one?

I also wanted to let you know that when I download the Cliff Hanger part 2 rar file and attempt to decompress it I get a corruption error (the same issue happens with the Cobra Command Part 2 file and both the Re-Encoded and regular part 2 files for Cliff Hanger). I've re-downloaded the files twice and get the same result. So far it is the second, or part 2 files that seem to not extract properly. Also, when I look in the rar file, the file inside is only a fraction of the size of the rar file. All that is in the part 2 is an .OGG file that is around 12,xxx,xxx kb. I'm not sure if the source file is corrupt, or if I am doing something wrong. I am using WinZip and the Part 1 rar file for Cliff Hanger extracted just fine. Any help to get this working would be appreciated.

I've been out of the emulator scene for far too long (close to ten years; family has a way of requiring most of my time) and I'm just getting back into this. Laser Disc games were my dream machines when I was a youngster and I'd love to get these up and running so that I can relive those fun memories.

I checked the RAR's and them seem ok. You need to make sure that all parts of the archive are downloaded and saved to the same folder. Then start to extract part one and the rest will automatically work. Also try using 7zip as it is better at this. Hope this helps.
