I'm having difficulty getting these roms to work with MAME

The roms that I listed in my first post. I can't get them to work in the latest 64 bit command version of Mame.

It's not a CHD issue as I checked the list and there are no CHD files for any of those games.

The only issue must be updating the Roms, but I don't know how you do that. I've tried using clrmamepro, but didn't have a clue how to use it.

It would be very helpful if somebody who's using the 64 bit command version of Mame 0164 to test the games to see if they play for them.

All those games show Green and say working.


I've downloaded every version of rom set, old and new, euro , usa, japan etc... Zipped them, unzipped them, mixed them up and combined them but I get the same message when trying to play game " The selected game is missing one or more required ROM or CHD images.Please select a different game" None of those games require a CHD image to play.

First of all which MAME are you using?
Have you done a rom audit? It will tell you what files are missing for the game to work. Show me your output...
What version of the ROMs you have?

I've clearly stated many times I'm using the lastest version of Mame, 0164 command line 64 bit.

I've downloaded RomCenter and yes I can now play all the games on my list except 2. The games I can play are playable, but I do get a message on start up saying they haven't been "dumped right" I don't see any difference tho... They seem to play just fine.

The 2 games that I can't play are Real Bout Fatal Fury and KOF98. I understand they need the NeoGeo Bios to play those games. I downloaded the NeoGeo Bios from here: http://rom-world.com/file.php?id=22504 and here: http://www.emuparadise.me/M.A.M.E._-_Mu ... -Geo/15030 and tried putting the file in to each game folder and tried putting just the NeoGeo folder in to Mame main directory. Those games show up as "Green Working" under RomCenter, but they won't play. Any help?

You should never unzip any ROM or BIOS files and should all be placed in the "roms" folder unless it's a CHD file which should be placed in its own folder of the same name as the main rom in the "roms" folder. The two games work perfectly which I got from our database. See below...

Any ROMs saying they haven't been dumped right should be ignored for now as the MAME team hasn't quite got the game to work perfectly yet.
