ROMs don't unzip properly

Postby alosenster » Sat Sep 04, 2010 3:55 am

I dled a few nes roms - mario 1, 2 & 3, zelda 1, etc. and they worked fine. They unzipped to reveal a folder with the .nes files in them.
Then I ran into some problems. I started dling some sega roms, and none of them would unzip properly. I would get an infinite loop of zipped folders ending in .zip or .bin or .bin.cpgz. Any idea why they don't just unzip? This happened with a few sonic roms and some others. I haven't been able to get any sega roms opened. Some nes roms did the same thing.

Thanks.

For starters, I tried every Sonic rom on the top 10 for Sega Megadrive with the same outcome. Let me know if you need more than that.

Hmm. I just downloaded the top 10 and the only problem I had was with #6 Mortal Kombat 3 (4) [h4].zip and it was corrupt which happened. All the other ones extracted just fine and were all .bin files. Do you use WinRar?

No, I'm using a Mac. But this is the first time I've had trouble unzipping something. I'll give it a shot on my PC laptop if you think it would make a difference.
