Captain Planet NES ROMs

looks like the same ROM I have with the same problem. Is it possible it only works well on your emulator now? I have converted to JNes 1.0 and its doing this. Looks like its also the same ROM that was last modified on 4/9/1997 at 12:16 am. JNes could not find it as a .rar file so I had to unzip it and make it an NES file. Once I did that it looked like the same thing as the others. I have been able to advance into the game despite this glitch and find my way up to the boss in 2-2. So right now the game is beating me more than the glitch.

I played through the game and Captain Planet levels 1, 2, and 3 all have the aforementioned glitch that messes up your surroundings. Despite that i managed to navigate my way through those levels and survive. Surprisingly Captain Planet levels 4 and 5 do not have that problem at all. And none of the Planeteer levels are affected. So the glitch makes things a pain in the ass but after level 3 its gone.

I forgot what a diabolically evil game this is. Its a shame everyone on the internet bitches about it so much. It is geniously booby-trapped for the hardcore gamer and its unlimited continues are very forgiving at the same time so you can advance through it with enough persistence. Its a rare flying shoot-em-up/beat-em-up game that still creates puzzles in every level, always trying to outsmart you even as its already wearing you down. The music is awful, yes, we know. Deal with it. Still lots of fun and a great challenge. Thanks you guys for helping me get a chance to play through it again after all these years.
