Error Message in Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green

i just downloaded pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green Gba roms and when i get past the title screen i get this Error message "The 1M sub-Circuitboard is not installed" i'm useing VisualBoyAdvanced V1.0a running on Win2k. i'm also using the GBA BIOS with this emulator

go to options > emulator > save type > flash 128k
and if you have a .sav file delete it
and if you have a .sav file delete it

i don't know what version of VisualBoyAdvance you're using gamfrk, but version 1.0a doesn't have that option. either way, i've decided to delete the files and only play the cartridges. sorry for the trouble folks.
