PC vs Console

I thought I would ask this, I am a little curious about what everybody else here thinks: what is better for modern gaming, PC or Console. I prefer PC, just the feel of the mouse and keyboard under my hands is so much better than a controller, but I play my PS3 regularly as well.

I am aware of this, it was caused when I tried to install a chat box onto the forums. The install did not work correctly and when I removed it the Polls were effected. I asked PHPbb to look into it but to date noone has come back with anything.
I will continue to try and fix this.

I say PC because most of my modern gaming is shooters and I deff feel way more comfortable with the accuracy and quickness of my mouse. The only downside is having my laptop screen only being 17" so the screen is a little smaller, but not taking away from the experience!

I say PC. What are video game consoles but crippled niche PCs?
I suppose video game consoles have the upper hand with software compatibility. The same game can run wildly different on two comparable PCs with different hardware/software makes and architectures and whatever.
And I guess consoles cost less than a comparable gaming PC.
And you can't really rent PC games like you can with console games.
But still. PC wins for me.

I feel like I'm the only one who voted for console. When its intricate things like playstation games it's easier to have a controller in my hands. However you can get used to the computer, trust me I've done it. (I don't think I'll ever get used to the iPod touch controls though) so if I'm playing Mario or sonic pull out the computer. However I'm gonna have to go with console.

What'chu talkin' 'bout, Jahgoveg?
Generally speaking, gamepads (controllers) and arcade sticks are more comfortable for stuff like 2D platformers (like Mario and Sonic) and fighting games. Or really anything that is "2D action". Some 2D is still better with a mouse and keyboard though, like point and click adventures and real time strategy games, or anything where a quick accurate cursor is preferable or necessary. I think the typical "shoot 'em up" game design is better with mouse and keyboard, too.
Mouse and keyboard, once you are properly use to it, is far superior for things like first person shooters, or really anything where you are in a 3D environment. Using your wrist/arm with a mouse to look or move around offers far better control and accuracy compared to using your thumb with an analogue stick. And that is NOT an opinion. That is the human body.
You know you can use a gamepad (controller) on your computer for most PC games and emulators and stuff, right? I use an official Xbox360 controller. Official PS3 controllers work too. Just got to download the driver.

Oh, yeah. I suppose many 3D Playstation games fare better with a controller, since they were designed around it.
But those games would have been better off if they were designed for a mouse and keyboard. Anything where you look and move around in 3D is better with a M&K. Every game should support both gamepad and M&K.
I don't think any games on the 360, PS3, or Wii support M&K, do they? While most of their PC counterparts support M&K AND gamepads. (Like the PC version of Resident Evil 5, for example.)
