PSX emulator

I just went to download a psx emulator. Nice update there :good:

May i suggest an emulator to put up if its possible to get it. It's called "PSXfin"

Its hard to find but i found this emulator to be one of the easiest psx emulators to deal with. The emulator itself is already packaged with all the "inputs" that are needed within the .exe file. All self contained.

wait i found a link in a forum post.

http://forums.techarena.in/windows-software/1247486.htm

usually a "d3dx9_26.dll" error will show up if you don't have that file already on your computer when you try to run the emulator but you are able to donwload the file that is needed from this link

http://www.dll-files.com/pop.php?dll=d3dx9_26

Just put the dll file in with the same folder as "psxfin.exe" and it should start up. Only thing left is a BIOS file but almost all psx emulators need those.

~ All files and links have been virus/spyware scanned with paid versions of virus/spyware/malware programs.

I really apreciate you trying to get invlolved josh! I Like the emulator you're talking about.
Kherr, should someone take over the emulator section? I know it's a sensitive subject but some of those emulators are getting outdated.

nothing big just that some of them have been updated on the developers website. maybe putting links to download page instead of actually uploading it to your website. idk

That would miss the point. Always remember, we are trying here to increase users of this site, not point them towards other sites. If we dont have it and another site has, get it and put it here. Unless there is no other way, don't link out to other sites/urls/forums etc.

I would suggest that someone try to contact Jesse, and find out for sure his intentions. Until then do as Jesse suggested in his last post, about putting emulators in folders, and have them ready for him or for who ever may have to replace him in the future. That is my thought, I can not upload much as my land line is not the most stable with a lot of disconnection and having to start up again, But i have found some interesting emus and I can PM the links to someone who would be willing to Prepare them for upload. I have already PM HT with some links but I think his plate is pretty full at the moment with other aspects of the site. So maybe someone should volunteer as Jesses' assistant and be able to do the functions on the emulators the same as he does. I think maybe HT would be receptive to a suggestion along those lines. :thankyou:
