Ever since i clicked on it someplace on this site it now shows a "web ring" bar at the bottom of my webpage no matter where i am on the site even on the forums. And sometimes i am getting redirected when i go to the home page here, it sends me to their site Link

I have cleared my cache and internet history as well as my temporary internet files and the problem went away for a few weeks then it came back today :(

It overlaps theoldcomputer.com much like how stumbleupon does when you browse with them.

Im in chrome and i went to "inspect element" and i see this, if this helps

<frame name="A" src="http://www.theoldcomputer.com" frameborder="0" noresize="">
<frame name="B" src="http://www.webring.org/l/gops?ring=cvgs;ringid=cvgs;id=308;title=Classic+Video+Games" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" noresize="">

yeah, they have had this issue before and fixed it. While Webring isn't malicious as far as I've seen, it may be a flag for members who don't know what it is, and lose legit traffic to the site.

This site has been a member of the webrings for over 10 years but sometimes their code is crappy. If this continues to be a problem for many of you I will simply remove it. It is not malicious in any way, just badly programmed.

it is a minute inconvenience when it redirects, no big deal. the bigger issue is for those who don't know what it is. when it happened to me the first time, i was alarmed, but upon asking about it, i was informed it was not malicious. others might see it as a reason to avoid the site for computer security reasons and not ask what it is exactly.
