I totally got this idea at school today.
You should make a new section under here exclusively for ROM Mods!

Do you understand how sweet that would be :D :!:

Just a huge section for editing roms Yay!

I though about it more and I guess my idea kinda changed. Because it wouldnt be through the forum, since the forum wouldnt host files. So it would mean changing theoldcomputer.com and adding a section for rom mods.

I happened to have bookmarked a couple of the pages i used to use to rom hack.

Code: Select all
http://www.zophar.net/utilities/util
http://ragegames.classicgaming.gamespy.com/main.htmlities.phtml
http://www.i-mockery.com/romhacks/
http://www.themushroomkingdom.net/sub-space/mi.shtml
http://www.badhacks.net/

Some of those sites are good and some arent lol
Most of the rom hacks consist of just editing the maps or the sprites.
Some of the best ones include completely redone games, so its like playing something completely new or a sequel. The dialogues can be changed. Well pretty much everything.
I only really had sites for either the NES or SNES since thats what I was most into. but there are others out there.

But it all depends on if you wanted to change the site or not and thats completely up to you.
If you did you could add a section for modding, and have all the consoles that mods are available for. Then under them would be tools and the hacks.
Then on here could be the big discussions and the readme guides and all the help that they need.

Just look into the modding a little and see what you think.

Thanks bro
