It pays to have the "RIGHT" connections

Well today was hot here, 40 plus degrees celcius & being an outside worker (i work as a
contract rural fencer) the boss decide to call it quits for the day around 1-00 pm. Upon driving
up to the clients house to let them know we were finnished for the day the lady client was down
at her stables grooming one of her dressage horses. After explaining to her we were done for the
day she offered us a beer each & the boss accepted. She invited us into her posh air conditioned
tac room & grabbed 2 tinnies from the fridge then proceeded with the usual smalltalk.
I noticed that there was a computer running playing home video of her in a dressage event
(i guess she reviews her performance to pick up on any mistakes) I also noticed a much larger
monitor sitting in the corner which obviously has'nt been used in quite a while. As the smalltalk
continued i asked why the larger monitor was'nt being used & she replied "oh that old thing, my
son got that for me a couple of years ago but he got ripped off because the PICTURE TUBE is blown"
. I thought to myself ok i got a live one here 
& asked why she thaught the
PICTURE TUBE was gone.
The reply i got was "you can only get a green picture, & if you fiddle the conections sometimes
its blue" yeah i said, sounds like the TUBE to me
& tongue in cheek told her i dabble
a little with computers & i'd give her $40 au for it if she did'nt want it, as it may have some
salvagable parts. To my surprise she accepted
