Microsoft has registered the domains Microsoft-Sony.com and Sony-Microsoft.com.

According to a Tweet from Microsoft corporate communications VP Frank Shaw the listing is just an innocuous "defensive domain name hold".

Lot of speculation on the web about what is going on. Is Microsoft lying about what their intentions really are, personally given their past record of openness and honesty, I suspect that they are lying. But like everyone I will wait for a blockbuster announcement from Sony and Microsoft in a few days.

In the meantime anybody for a Sonybox, or a Playbox, or A Boxstation?

No apology needed Luke, I despise Microsoft as well, and my way of dealing with it was to switch to Linux, even though I am not a whiz, I am learning.

I had to boot back in to windows tonight to show the wife something , god it seamed like it took 5 mins to get past the loading screen . :headbang:

Man i love UBUNTU, sure it took some time to learn but it so worth it for a Fun, fast , trouble-free (well eventually trouble-free, day one it wasn't trouble free as i have a tendency to play with settings i know nothing about ;) ) , FREE Operating system.
2 years on there is so much i still need to learn but i will never switch back to windows for my home use. :geek:

Sure , Winxp is the only version of windows i still use ( about once every 3 months). I also have a legal copy of vista but that wont EVER be used again. I must say, i do here lots of good things about Win7, its just no good to me any more.
