i recently upgraded my internet speed to 12Mb so my download speed should be around 1.6Mb on full speed.

i now download some rom from the psx adult section and the speed is around 300Kb or less,this is the exact same speed before i upgraded my isp speed,which was 2.5Mb.

it's here only,on other tests i get pure 1.6Mb i would be happy with half of that but 300Kb is not what i expect from an unlimited ftp/server/etc.

i done the tests on private sites not public by the way,of course public sites wont give you full speed,but that is another story.

The problem will then be our server at its limit. The recent download controls are helping protect bandwidth for all users but the fact remains that we are super busy every day and the server is not really copeing. We need further controls and a faster server.

I am working on both problems at the minute. Donations for the server are gratefully received.

well i guess 300kb is ok but not all that it can be,it's better to have a 300kb in steady stream then to let everyone all the speed and get left with slow speeds for the rest.

i did a 2nd test with another pc and another isp,same speed i think the 300kb mark is not correct,it is in bursts,it goes from 300 t0 217.
