Hello,

Since this morning, whenever I go to this site in Rom Section, I have a virus alert.
Am I the only one?

I do not know why you are getting a virus alert for anything on this site or anywhere on this site because I personally have been using it for years with multiple different virus programs (Avira, AVG Free, AVG Pro, Zone Alarm Extreme Security, Kapersky) and I've never received a virus not once... So I'd wager to say Avast is messing up and giving you a false positive...

The only time I ever used Avast it let a virus on to my computer that I obtained from GOOGLE SEARCH and it completely screwed my computer up, but this was many years ago back in Avast v4.2 days...

God how I hate Avast... >.>'

*EDIT*

Hot Trout wrote:There is a problem with the roms section. It would appear that someone has injected some malware onto the page. I am working now to restore the backups of the pages affected. I will update here again soon when i know more.

Sorry for this, please hang in there guys.

It appears I was wrong on this one, and we're working to get to the bottom of this as we speak. Please be patient like the man said and we'll have it taken care of soon. Sorry about this. >.>'

I thought I was the only one. I had tried three different browsers and two different computers with the same results. On the download page, before clicking the download link, these warnings show up for lines 3 to 7.

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/theoldco/public_html/roms/getfile.php:1) in /home/theoldco/public_html/roms/getfile.php on line 3

When I click on the download link, the download should start but the web page updates with the following types of characters:

PK¼˜!ú©‡H drom1}W @SÇÖ¾ ÂêF´OAE—‡m]°U‰-µ¾ " ‚È¢€,y–°Ü °BØ’ $Š "*"‚}[ÕweU! Thanks for looking into this. I don't get any virus or malware warnings.

Hot Trout is working very hard atm to get to the bottom of this and fix any issues the site may be having, hopefully he'll be done soon. Apparently now he's got the virus out of the site, but apparently it's aftereffects are still messing with the code? I won't lie, I have no idea myself as to what's going on atm, but I know he's fixing it right now so it should be up shortly. Thanks for letting us know so we could get a fix on it quickly. :3

Thank you everyone for the helpful information, it really helped me pinpoint the issue. It turns out that we were infected by some malware through a script injection vulnerability. I dont know if this was by a human trying to sabotage the site or by a bot but either way it stopped the downlaods from working properly.

I am glad to say that I have now simple reloaded the original PHP files and the problem is gone. If you try now the downloads should be working again.

Please check for me and let me know if it is working. Please also remember to refresh your browser cache to make sure that you are using the new uploaded pages and not still using the old pages.

This was a pain I know and I thank everyone for their patience and help. :thankyou:
