username/password accepted on forum but not in rom section..

hello
i can login here in the forum with my username and password but when i want to download a rom (this one https://www.theoldcomputer.com/roms/getfile.php?file=Li9Db21tb2RvcmUvQW1pZ2EvV0hETG9hZC9HYW1lcy1XSERMb2FkL0FsYWRkaW5fdjEuNV9BR0FfMDQyMC56aXA= ) i have the status "guest" and when i logiin in the rom section page i have the message "wrong username/password"

the rom section needs other username/password than the forum one? what to do to download the rom in the link above?

You should be able to download roms from that section with just a registered account. To make sure this is working, please refresh the download page, logout of your account and then log back in again. Please remember that you need to log into the ROM download section, EVEN if you have already logged into the forums.

I am having the same problem, however I have tried logging out on the forum side, logging back in, and navigating to the main site to try to log in, only to be told it's a wrong username/password and I'm definitely not inputting the information incorrectly. I have verified my email as well. Have I missed a step? Do I need to wait longer for my access to "mature" since my account is so new?

Guys, The main reason this happens is due to some illegal characters being used in the password. You should reset your password and use CAPS, Numbers and some more common characters like # or % or @.

Try changing it to HASH instead
