Cannot log in

I registered for the Forum and can (obviously) log in just fine I cannot log into the main site to download any ROMS. I was attempting to DL some MAME ROMS. Is there a lag in the registration to the main site? Are the usernames/passwords authenticated from the same source?

I'm certain of my username/password and have logged in/out of the forums to be sure.

my suggestion would be to change your password and try again after clearing your browser history/cookies.

I gave that a whirl. No go. I tried from my tablet as well. Cannot log on to the main site for DLs. I wonder if the "!" in my username is ok here but giving the main site problems.

what is the error message when you try to login? I am going to toss the Admin a pm, hopefully he can set this straight very quickly.
if impatient, you may want to (temporarily) make a new account (without a !, just in case) until we can get this sorted out, and I would like to apologize for your inconvenience.

I am not aware of ! Creating any problems with usernames. That said, why not try registering a new account without the ! And see how you get on.
