Osborne Executive "luggable" portable computer from 1982. This was the successor to the Osborne 1, the world's first portable computer.
This would be a welcome addition to any vintage computer collection.

This system has a Z80 CPU, 64K RAM, dual 5.25" floppy drives, and runs the CP/M 3 operating system.

The system boots from the included disks and both drives work (I made fresh copies of the disks using this system). Keyboard is in great shape but could use a cleaning. Some keys took a few tries to get them to work but improved with use.and they do all work. This unit has the optional modem installed but I am unable to test that it works.

Cosmetically the unit is in great condition except for the carry handle - the faux leather has cracked and is peeling off. Some case discoloring typical of plastics of this age. All knobs and covers are present. The CRT is bright and clear. Power cord included.

Disks included:
CP/M Operating System and utilities disks 1-3
Personal Pearl Information Manager disks 1-6
(These ARE NOT original Osborne disks but are copies that I received with the unit or have made myself.)

Manuals(orig) included:
Mastering the Osborne Executive
Executive Reference (huge tech manual)
Working with Text and Spreadsheets
Managing Information with Personal Pearl
Operating Systems

This is the ad I responded to for the Osborne. :good:

Radio Shack TRS-80 Model III computer circa 1981.
It has a Z80 CPU, 48K RAM, and dual 5.25" floppy drives.

The turns on and the drive spins looking for a disk. If break key is pressed on boot it responds with "cass?" prompt from which you can enter the ROM BASIC.
I have no working TRSDOS floppies but it responds to a Model 4 disk with "this is a model 4 only disk". So I assume that at least the boot drive is reading correctly.
In the past I have loaded model I/III cassette software and it worked fine, but I no longer have the casstte player and cable. Brightness knob is stiff but works. Contrast knob seems frozen.
CRT is clear and bright. Has anti-glare screen attached. Note that attached pictures do not do the screen justice. The anti-glare screen makes the CRT appear dark but it's actually quite bright.

Other than a little dust this unit is in great cosmetic condition for its age. The keyboard works flawlessly. Comes with original dust cover(which could use some cleaning). There are no disks or documentation included with this system. I can include a CD with documentation I have collected via the web.

And finally the TRS80 III, that I responded to . Sheesh I love Santa :!: :!: :santa2: :santa1:

I have a lots of Model I disks here, for my EACA Video Genie, maybe they also work in a real TRS-80.

Unfortunally i have no machine to copy the disks, the diskdrive for my EACA is faulty.

Just moved into a new house whit space for my collection. First i need to renovate it. Now all the stuff is in one room stuffed together. I now use the smallest room (just ignore the color of the wall... i think it was a girlie room). Just not enough room for my A500 and C128D. I hope to be finished at X-mas.
