I just upgraded my collection whit a HP 85b and 3 sharp MZ800.

You won't believe it.. yesterday i went there to pic up the 3 MZ800's . It was by a model train club, and they are busy cleaning up. So the computers where on a table in the corridor whit a paper on it "will picked up Thursday". So i was there... no computers, only diskettes, a printer and a self made case for a diskdrive. Someone put those 3 machines in the garbage can outside. :headbang: So we fished those out of the trash.

What a day that was....

Now my car smells like a trashcan.....

Need to clean the machines first, that i'll make some pictures for here.

That is a proper retro find. Well done and many thanks for the pictures. I would not mind one of those for my collection.

1982 Kaypro 2 portable computer with original disks and documentation. It sports a Z80 CPU, 64KB of RAM, 2 5.25in floppy drives and runs the CP/M 2.2 operating system.

Legend has it that Arthur C. Clark wrote "Rendezvous with Rama" on one of these machines.

This would be a great addition to any vintage computer collection as it was meant to be a competitor to the Osborne I - the first portable personal computer.

This system boots and both disk drives work. The green CRT is clear and bright with no burn-in. Keyboard works perfectly. Cosmetic condition is good with some scratches and scuffs typical of a used portable computer of this age. Original power and keyboard cables included.

ALL of the original disks that shipped with this amchine are included!

I booted the CP/M master disk and the MBASIC disk. I have not tested the other discs and suspect that some may have issues given their age but most should be in good, readable condition. I will also include copies of many of the disks which I made a while back as well as a CD full of Kaypro techinical docs I've collected from the web. Also included is a box of blank IBM 2D 5.25in floppy disks - the best available back in the day - so you can make backup copies of these rare original disks.

Original Kaypro disks included are:
CP/M Version 2.2 Master
CP/M Version 2.2 working diskette
Microsoft BASIC-80 Master
Microsoft BASIC-80 working diskette
Profit Plan Master #2
Profit Plan working diskette #2
The WORD Plus Master

Datastar, Supersort, and Calcstar Master
Datastar , Supersort, and Calcstar working diskette
Wordstar and Mailmerge Master
Wordstar 4.0 Professional Release Educational Version
Wordstar 4.0 Professional Release Dictionary

Also included is a complete set of documentation that shipped with this system. Book titles included are:

Microsoft BASIC QUick Reference Guide
Wordstar Command Card
Kaypro User's Guide
Mailmerge Reference Manual
Profitplan
CP/M Ref Manual
Calcstar User's Manual
Datastar Training Guide
Supersort Ref Manual
Datastar Ref Manual
Wordstar Ref Manual
Wordstar Training Guide
Microsoft BASIC Ref Manual
