Basically people use MIDI sequencers to rebuild video game tracks. There's a few thousand tracks on there from most platforms. It can be fun to go through and see what someone's gone and made for your favourite game.

Dunno if this is 100% appropriate for this topic, considering this is supposed to be MP3 rips and such, but...hey, music.

This site usually frowns on links to other sites that compete for the topics of our site. I would suggest removing the link until you discuss it with HT. or one of the other moderators, especially Kherr as he started the topic.

Thanks, crusty.

@Crusty: Fixed your broken quote there Crusty. :3

@ BlueMaxima: I don't like MIDI re-makes of music from the old systems as much as the actual tracks because they just don't have the sound that the NES or SNES or GENESIS has. I like listening to exactly what I remember versus listening to something that sounds like it. I hope you get what I'm saying because I don't exactly know how to say it quite properly without it sounding like I'm getting mad or something. This is why I rip and archive the actual NES music into an MP3 so that it can be remembered as it should be for as long as people keep circulating them. :3

Agree :D ,but it's still great fun to have midi versions to drive whatever palette of sound you may have at your disposal.

I completely understand what you mean, you don't come across angry at all, just as a guy who loves his classic video game music.
